The Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre

A day out with my sister and my son. 12-9-09

Tamar Otter and Wildlife Park was a fantastic place to go. The sun was shining and the otters were out to play, I could of stayed there all day and watched them, fascinating little things!!
The park was originally set up to re-home and breed British Otters and to introduce them back into the wild.
A pen of four young Otters have been hand reared as their mothers milk dried up, and they also have Otters which have been brought into the centre after being in accidents.
They have six Otter pens with British and Asian short clawed Otters.
Also around the park there are Fallow Deer, Wallabies and Munjac Deer roaming freely around the woods.
The young Deer were eating deer food out of our hands!!
We saw several different species of Owls, and a lot of Ducks, Geese and Peacocks, some of which would take bird seed, and sandwiches if you weren't watching, straight out of your hand.

A great enjoyable day out.
